Approved customers regardless of age may receive a single grant ranging from $150 to $400 per program year based on the overall account balance. If the balance is less than $150, the grant amount will still be $150. Veterans are eligible for grants up to $150 if they receive LIHEAP, PIPP or Sharing grants. Seniors aged 65 and older can receive grants of up to $150 per year. Customers who benefit from Sharing grants are automatically enrolled in the Nicor Gas Low-Income Discount Program.
