Anthony Place Senior Apartments Earns Energy Efficiency Incentives

Anthony Place Senior Apartments in Yorkville held its grand opening on May 30, complete with a dedication, ribbon cutting and a walkthrough of the new facility. Attendees included U.S. Rep. Randy Hultgren, Yorkville Mayor Gary Golinski, and representatives from the builder, developer, and utilities.

In all, Anthony Place includes 51 units as well as a community kitchen, TV room, library and exercise room for residents. At the time of the opening, more than 60% of the units were already filled.

GC Housing Development, LLC, the developer of the project, participated in the Affordable Housing New Construction program to build the 60,480-square foot building. Anthony Place Yorkville received an incentive of $201,758 at the grand opening, including $131,143 in electric incentives from ComEd® and $70,615 in natural gas incentives from Nicor Gas. Roof insulation, exterior mass wall insulation, windows and overhead doors, hot water boilers, and lighting fixtures are just a few of the energy-efficient products that were installed at the property. The efficiency upgrades will help create a comfortable and efficient living and working environment for residents and staff for years to come.
