EGMS Go-live planned for Q2 2025

What is EGMS?

The Enterprise Gas Mangement System (EGMS) provides a single integrated solution that includes enhancements for the user experience and streamlines business processes.

The EGMS system will replace the following existing gas systems:

  • Gas Operating System (GOS)
  • Interface Calculation Module (ICM)
  • Gas Nominations System (GNS)
  • EnerAct

External Stakeholders:
Marketers, Poolers, Purchasers, Shippers and Suppliers

Benefits of EGMS

EGMS, a single enterprise-wide solution will centralize current functionality by:

  • Enhancing overall end-user experience, including internal and external users
  • Reducing manual processes
  • Improving areas of reporting administration and configurability
  • Updating security and controls to meet Southern Company standards
  • Reducing system maintenance and cost

What These Changes Mean To You

Systems & Processes

  • All nomination work is performed in EGMS
  • EnerAct work will now be performed in EGMS and GSOP
  • EGMS will have new login credentials

Nominations & Orders

  • Nominations are viewable by pipeline or contract
  • Upload nominations to EGMS from the provided spreadsheet template
  • Orders are accessed and viewed in EGMS

Menus

  • For Nominations, Orders, and Reports access the Gas Operations Menu
  • For subscription notifications and alerts and key documents access the Subscription Menu
  • To view your customer and facility data access the Administration Menu
  • Edit nominations from the TPS Overview screen or Nominations summary screen

Reports

  • Reports will now be in EGMS and GSOP
  • Screen views and reports can be downloaded to PDF or Excel
  • View data and reports anytime

EGMS Training

We are excited to announce a series of upcoming training sessions where you will receive instruction on how to use the new Enterprise Gas Management System (EGMS). If you are a user of the current nomination system in any capacity, it is important for you to attend a training session to ensure a successful transition to the new EGMS system

STEP 1

Training prerequisite

Complete the EGMS Overview & Navigation Course prior to attending a training class.

STEP 2

Register

Register for an upcoming training class via the registration link emailed to you.

STEP 3

Attend virtual training sessions

You should have received an email link to secure your registration. Training sessions typically will last approximately 2- 2.5 hours.
